In an interview with the Guardian , Thomas de Maizière insisted the defence implications for Britain, Europe and Nato would be profound, and said this was an aspect of the argument David Cameron did not appear to have recognised.

RAF’s Sentinel relocates to Gioia del Colle

After six months of operating from RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus the RAF’s Sentinel aircraft, which has been gathering vital reconnaissance imagery as part of NATO’s Operation UNIFIED PROTECTOR, is relocating to Gioia del Colle air base in southern Italy.
