Do you have experience in project co-ordination and developing and delivering training courses?

Are you passionate about supporting people affected by gambling?

Join GamCare and play a key role working on our Armed Forces Development Project, supporting armed forces personnel who are at risk of developing problems with gambling.

About Us
Founded in 1997, GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms.

The Armed Forces Development Project is the first of its kind and is a great opportunity to understand how to better support those in the armed forces at the risk of or already experiencing harm from gambling.

The project will deliver training and engagement work to armed forces personnel and the organisations that support them.

The role
Working alongside the Armed Forces Development Project Manager, you will co-ordinate key elements of the project.

This will include building relationships within the armed forces to develop and deliver training that raises awareness of gambling harm and how to signpost to gambling treatment support.

You will attend armed forces events and engage with relevant stakeholders to gather insights about support needs and promote our training offer.

You will need to gather insight gained from training and collate feedback from learners to contribute to the development of support models and further training.

You will also engage with services who can aid the development of the project (e.g the Armed Forces, academics, healthcare services, Government departments etc.).

The role has initially been funded for two years, with the key deliverables being a training programme and stakeholder engagement.

About You
You will need a trainer qualification (e.g., ITOL, Award in Education and Training level 3), OR proven experience of delivering accredited or structured training offers.

You will also need experience of co-ordinating the day-to-day running of a project, contributing to project development and improvement.

Demonstrable experience of building productive stakeholder relationships and good communication and organisation skills are equally important.

Benefits You Can Enjoy

  • 33 days basic annual leave entitlement per annum (pro-rated for part-time colleagues) including bank holidays which increases with service
  • A generous pension scheme – we contribute 6% and you contribute 2%
  • Discretionary company sick pay from day one of service
  • Employee assistance programme – 24-hour support

Closing date for applications: 4th December 2023.

Interviews will take place online via video conference – Wednesday 13th December 2023.
