Selector

Our wonderful team of Selectors bring to life our love of efficiency and productivity. Receiving instructions through a headset, they ‘pick’ stock for a specific store and load it onto a pallet where it will get ready for our HGV Drivers to collect and deliver.

Our Selectors tell us it’s a fun team to be part of, with plenty of variety and responsibility. For instance, you’ll need to let your Section Leader know if there’s any damaged stock. You’ll also ensure that full pallets are secured – and clearly marked with the right store number – and that all the paperwork is accurate. Safety is high on the agenda and you’re always ready to get the job done in a ‘high energy’, enthusiastic way. Because, let’s face it, we couldn’t run the show without you

Warehouse Selectors (Days) receive a salary of £9.98 – £10.54 per hour rising to £11.27 – £11.95 after 1 year (regional differences apply). Shift patterns typically run over a 5-day/25-30-hour week and will include weekends. Aldi offer night premium rates, 4 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays and full training is provided.

HGV Driver

Our Drivers are pretty special. We count on them to achieve fantastic levels of service as they deliver our goods to stores all over their particular region. We’re constantly striving to achieve an efficient and co-operative working environment, and Drivers play an enormous role in that.

Unusually, your time is split between two key areas – professional driving together with loading and unloading deliveries. So it’s a lot more physical than typical Driver roles as only 40% is actually spent driving. When delivering goods to stores, you’ll understand the need to optimise space and minimise any loss.

Sometimes you might need to work with store or warehouse colleagues, so safety (of our people, customers and products) is a big priority for you.

HGV Drivers (Days) receive a salary of £12.24 – £12.67 per hour rising to £13.24 – £14.35 after 1 year (regional differences apply). Shift patterns typically run over a 5-day/40-hour week and will include weekends. Aldi offer night premium rates, 4 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays rising to 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays after 2 years and full training is provided.

Please be aware to apply for this role you must have a Cat C+E (Class 1) licence. For a HGV Driver role visit: https://www.aldirecruitment.co.uk/logistics/roles/transport/
