Financial Aspects of Resettlement (FAR) Webinar
Location: Online
Time: 10:00 – 14:00

The MoD are strong advocates in supporting you to ensure your finances are in good shape as you leave the Services. The MoD uses the Forces Pension Society (FPS) and St James’s Place Wealth Management Plc (SJP), a firm of independent financial advisors (authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority) to provide the Financial Aspects of Resettlement webinar, with CTP providing administrative support.

The programme is split into two halves, firstly FPS provides a comprehensive brief that aims to help Service personnel better understand what they are entitled to from their Armed Forces pension schemes.

Topics covered include:
• An overview of each pension scheme
• Medical awards
• Commutation
• Pen Form 1 completion and more…

The second part of the presentation is provided by SJP who have been working alongside the Armed Forces for many years. They have helped numerous Service personnel manage their finances, as they settle into civilian life. This presentation will cover all aspects of financial planning and give ample time for questions.

There are no charges made for any initial consultations and the whole presentation is scheduled to last approximately four hours, with a short break in-between the two parts.

23 February
CTP Virtual Employment Event
Location: Online
Time: 11:00 – 13:00

Want to speak with employers who are recruiting over the next 6 – 12 months?

Do you have a fast approaching discharge date and are concerned how the labour market will look?

Join us and a selection of the Forces-friendly employers we work closest with for our CTP Virtual Employment Event on Tuesday 23 February.

This is a fantastic opportunity to speak to industry leading employers with live vacancies who will be recruiting over the next 6-12 months, via video conferencing platforms. Chat face-to-face with recruiters allowing you to find out more about their opportunities, ask any questions and sell your extensive skills, qualifications and experience, just as you would at our regular employment fairs. All this without leaving the comfort of your own home or base, from anywhere in the world!

Join the CTP team for an introduction where we will outline how the event will be structured and introduce a representative from each organisation taking part.

Individual employer breakout sessions will take place, where you will be able to find out more about the company, ask questions about their roles and application processes, and discuss how your skills and background could fit with their needs.

These breakout sessions will be hosted by various companies using their own video conferencing software and we encourage you to visit a variety of employers throughout the event. You can be redirected to the next employer on request, or just speak with the team about any resettlement questions you may have.

You can join the CTP Virtual Employment Event from any connected device – ideally a computer or laptop – although mobile devices will also work. Full joining instructions and more detailed information will be emailed once you have registered for the event.

Don’t delay, sign up today by calling: 0203 162 4410, or drop us an email at: CTPEvents@ctp.org.uk
