B&FC Wants You

We know that armed forces personnel develop a host of transferable skills whilst on active duty – not just technical competencies, but skills that are invaluable in life beyond the military.

We also believe that some of those skills are a great asset if you want to get into teaching. Think about the strategic planning required to deliver programmes of study, the challenge of managing a classroom or the buzz of seeing a student succeed. It might not be the same adrenaline rush as being on manoeuvres, but the feeling of turning a young person’s life around can be just as satisfying.

Camaraderie is a big part of life in the military and it’s a big part of teaching at B&FC too. That’s why, if you have the technical skills we’re looking for and a passion for sharing those skills, we’d be delighted to welcome you into our team.

We’re particularly looking for individuals who can help us deliver programmes in:

  • Aeronautical engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Electrical/electronic engineering
  • Maintenance engineering
  • Automotive maintenance and repair
  • Project management

In return, we offer competitive salaries and a wide range of benefits as well as agile working opportunities. B&FC is an inclusive community and we welcome individuals from all walks of life. We have a great heritage, but also believe in looking forward which is why we think Service-leavers and Veterans could make a unique contribution to life at the College.
