A unique trade on land and sea

Off By Ed Hanna

Join Magicman’s squad of nationwide repair technicians and learn a unique trade from the best in the business.

This is a perfect opportunity for anyone who likes hands-on work, logical problem solving, has an eye for colour and a ‘can do’ attitude. It is a chance to grow from trainee to master technician offering in-situ sustainable repairs to all hard surfaces and substrates.

Paid residential training is provided by Magicman with full employment on successfully passing the course. A vehicle (as driving is a requirement), tools and uniform are provided by the company. Magicman technicians are directly employed and are not franchisees. A basic disclosure check is required as staff sometimes work alone or around vulnerable people.

Progression
Trainees start on £20,500 p.a. which rises to £21,500 after training. Progression and earning capacity is based on experience and individual efforts. Ship work can attract an extra £100 per day. Altogether a potential uplift to wages reaching £40-60K p.a.

Founded by former Royal Navy Engineer and Shipwright, Mark Henderson, Magicman is a sustainable restoration service to the construction, residential, insurance and cruise ship sectors. Although it supplies onsite repairs across Britain, it also sends ‘riding crew’ to carry out work on ships in service around the world.

Magicman is proud of its green credentials and was the first to promote ‘repair don’t replace’ in order to reduce waste to landfill and the greenhouse gases caused by the manufacture and transportation of replacement items.
