City Health Care Partnership CIC – helping people to live healthier, happier lives

Off By Ed Hanna

Providing highest quality health and care services, City Health Care Partnership CIC’s vision is to lead and inspire through excellence, compassion and expertise in all that we do.

CHCP was one of the first ‘spin-outs’ from the NHS in 2010 and was set up as a co-owned community interest company; our staff are our shareholders, giving them a say in their business. We provide NHS services across Hull, the East Riding, Knowsley and St Helens, offering a wide range of expertise. Focussing on community services that help to keep people at home and reduce the demand on hospitals, our growing portfolio includes district nursing, psychological wellbeing, dentistry, sexual health, urgent care, prison health, general practice, therapies and rehabilitation, palliative care and health visiting, among many more.

The company has grown steadily since its inception and now employs over 2,000 people; our income has doubled since 2013 and we have a significant national profile, thanks to innovative and award-winning work and to our position as a leader in community health and care. CHCP’s headquarters in Hull makes us ideally placed to serve the city as well as the communities of East Yorkshire, with bases across the region meaning that people can have the care that matters to them as close to home as possible. Our public health services in the North West help people to live healthier, happier lives.

Commitment
We have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, which includes a commitment to interviewing any job
applicants who are Serving or Veterans, if they meet the criteria for the post. We are proud to have a culture that celebrates equality, diversity and inclusion and were recently awarded ninth place in the National Centre for Diversity’s Top 100 Inclusive Employer awards.

As a socially responsible ‘for better profit’ company, CHCP’s profits are reinvested back into our services, our colleagues and our communities; our social return on investment is £63 for every £1 spent.
