Build a Business that Changes Lives
Former Army Officer, Andrew Davis joined Right at Home UK as a franchise owner in 2012 and has since built an award-winning business delivering high quality care across Bournemouth and Poole, enabling vulnerable people to remain living independently in their own homes.
“Right at Home offers a lot of support, which allowed me to follow my passion,” Andrew says. “By offering local jobs and the best possible standards in quality homecare, we really have made a difference to the local community.”
Andrew recognises that his Forces training gave him skills that he could transfer into business ownership, and which have helped him become successful, saying: “There is an element of planning that overlaps my role in the Armed Forces and the business,” adding: “There has to be coordination in this business to ensure clients are happy.”
Leadership skills
Andrew’s leadership skills have also been put to good use, having supported his team to achieve an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission, and a score of 10/10 on independent reviews site: www.homecare.co.uk

Andrew also recently organised the first ever Right at Home CareGiver Conference. The aim of the event, attended by Right at Home caregivers from across southern England, was to celebrate the vital work of care professionals and enhance their skills in areas such as dementia care.
Andew says: “I’m proud that my team and I were able to arrange a conference that gave care professionals some tangible takeaways to further improve their skills and confidence in delivering quality services.”
