Your Experience Pass It On As A Cadet Leader

Your Experience Pass It On As A Cadet Leader

Off By Ed Hanna

Pass on your experience as a Cadet Leader! Are you aged between 18 and 55 and interested in inspiring, shaping and leading the next generation? Then being a volunteer cadet leader could be an exciting option for you!

With 41,000 cadets (aged 12-18) in over 1,600 locations in communities all around the UK, the Army Cadet Force (ACF) is one of the country’s largest voluntary youth organisations.

They are currently looking for more volunteers (particularly those with the drive to become officers) who are interested in inspiring and leading young people and who can pass on their knowledge and experience to the next generation.

Many volunteers with a military background excel in helping them to deliver the broad range of adventurous and military-themed activities their cadets really love.

As well as helping young people to develop their independence, confidence and their ability to step up to any challenge, you’ll also get the opportunity to further your own skills and qualifications.

The ACF proudly subscribes to the Army’s values and standards and follows a similar rank structure. However, please bear in mind that the ACF is a voluntary youth organisation and you will need to complete some initial familiarisation training so that they can provide a successful and rewarding outcome for you, the ACF and the young people in your charge.
