Double Your Money for Veterans
Delighted veterans at the charity Erskine are looking forward to three days in December when every donation made by the public online will be doubled by a generous charitable foundation.
The Big Give, the Garfield Weston Foundation’s fantastic fundraising challenge runs from Monday 6 December to Wednesday 8 December. With £250,000 of matched funding available, Erskine is looking forward to an extra boost on the run up to Christmas.
Every donation made to Erskine will be matched by the Garfield Weston Foundation, up to a maximum of £50,000 over three days. The largest donation any one donor can make is £5,000.
For three full days donors are encouraged to start making donations (as early as 10.00 am each day) to ensure the charity doesn’t miss out as first come first served is the name of the game!

Erskine’s Chief Executive Major Jim Panton enthusiastically welcomed the news, he said: “This is terrific news! Erskine relies heavily on voluntary contributions to maintain an exceptionally high standard of care and every single penny we receive goes towards supporting our country’s ex Service men and women.
“Our care, supported employment, Supported Transition and housing are all supported by voluntary donations and we are indebted to our steadfast and loyal supporters who make this possible, therefore an opportunity for their much needed and welcome donations to be doubled is an early Christmas present for us,” he added.
