North Wales Police
Protecting communities, serving the public and catching criminals – could this be your next challenge?
We are now recruiting police officers to join North Wales Police.
Could you join us and help make a difference in communities across the region? Those who have Served their country in the Military can add a huge amount of life experience to policing and we encourage anyone interested in joining North Wales Police to get in touch and look at the opportunities we offer.
We’re looking for people who reflect the communities we serve, people who can bring diversity of experience and who are willing to protect our streets.
As a police officer, your job will be to reduce crime and the fear of crime, and promote confidence among local people that the police understand and are prepared to deal with issues that matter most to them.
Making a difference
Our police constables are the face and voice of North Wales Police. They’re on the ground, working in partnership with the public and organisations in making a difference to the local community. They come from different walks of life but are united by the same goal – to keep communities safe.
You can now apply via four entry routes into policing:
- Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA)
- Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP)
- Professional Policing Degree (PPD)
- Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP) which is a new entry route available from 1 April 2024.
You will attend classroom based and practical learning for approximately 22 weeks. After training you will join local policing teams where you’ll continue your learning and development while undertaking operational day-to-day police duties.
A varied job
Policing is one of the most varied jobs there is. From responding to a 999 call, you may be saving a life, conducting traffic stops, preventing domestic abuse, identifying modern slavery, supporting victims, finding vulnerable people, or being the first on the scene in a disaster, such as an accident, deceased person, public disorders or terrorist attacks.
Whatever your day brings, you’ll be in a unique position in making North Wales the safest place in the UK.
