Serve your local community in a Trust where you can really #ShapeYourCareer

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is inviting ex-military personnel to take their next step and serve the local community through working for the NHS.

Based at multiple sites across the county of Dorset, where over 58,000 Armed Forces veterans and around 40,000 serving personnel and their families are living, Dorset HealthCare is deeply involved in both supporting and employing veterans.

In recent years we have set up an Armed Forces Community Health and Wellbeing Team, become an active and accredited member of the VC HC (Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance), now a silver awarded member of the armed forced covenant, and have proudly been recognised as a Veteran Aware Trust.

We recognise the values and transferable skills that the Armed Forces community bring to our workforce and are keen to work alongside those who want to make a difference and serve their community with excellence, compassion and expertise in all they do – as our Trust vision states.

There are many different clinical and non-clinical roles available – and whatever your background, previous experience and qualifications, there will be a role that is suitable for you. We really care about giving you a career that fits you – a career that you can shape – not just a job.

Currently we are offering the opportunity to develop your nursing career in our outstanding-rated community hospital or district nursing teams. So if you have previously served as a registered nurse, you can find out more about our current band 5 nurse opportunities and book in to attend our 7th June 5-6.30pm nurse recruitment information event at www.dorsethealthcare.nhs.uk/work-for-us/band-5-nurses
