FDM – Your career, their mission

Off By Ed Hanna

FDM specialise in bridging the gap between your Military service and a civilian career with training and full-time industry experience.

FDM work with employers who value the skills and experience that ex-Forces personnel can bring into the workplace and are committed to creating opportunities for accelerated progression for those looking to enter the civilian job market.

Since 2014, their award-winning Ex-Forces Programme has helped over 700 Service-leavers, Reservists and Veterans secure employment within the technology sector. Their mission is to give those who have Served, the best possible chance of career success, by building on their Military skills, experience and values.

You will receive 5-14 weeks fully funded training in one of their FDM academy centres (currently virtual) and, upon training completion, you will become a fully-fledged FDM consultant. You’ll then work on a series of exciting projects, gaining industry relevant experience with their diverse client base across areas such as media, finance, government and more.

If you’re interested in learning more about the opportunities available at FDM, you can register for one of their upcoming Ex-Forces Insight Days. Alternatively, you can apply for one of their live roles in multiple disciplines from business analysis, project management, IT engineering and many more.

Cristan Massey, Service Delivery Manager, British Army “The experience I gained in the Ex-Forces Programme has given me a wide range of knowledge of the tech industry. FDM understands the difficulty that comes with transitioning into a civilian career and assists with that massively. I am now a service delivery manager for a leading tech services business. Without FDM I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
