Support wounded Veterans on an historic ride through time

The Help for Heroes Big Battlefield Bike Ride is a unique cycling challenge, combining pedal-power, camaraderie and military history for an experience like no other. In 2020, this iconic fiveday ride will mark the 80th anniversary of the Dunkirk evacuation.

Join a team of 200 fundraisers of all ages and cycling abilities for an epic journey covering more than 300 miles of rolling French countryside, and help raise vital funds to support our wounded Veterans and their families at the same time.

The Battlefield Bike Ride 2020 will take you from Étretat to Dunkirk, with the route along the way marking some of the iconic battlegrounds of the First and Second World Wars. With stories brought to life by some of the UK’s leading historians, you will have an opportunity to pay your respects to the Heroes of the past, while cycling alongside our Heroes of today.

Riding alongside those the charity supports and fellow fundraisers, you’ll experience a true sense of team spirit that is the unique essence of the Big Battlefield Bike Ride, with phenomenal achievements, new friendships and lasting memories forged along the way.

“It’s only possible that Veterans get support because people have taken time off work to fundraise. It’s an honour to cycle alongside every one of them on the Big Battlefield Bike Ride.”
