imployable is an innovative new app based platform that is specifically designed to bridge the gaps in unemployment and facilitate career tracking.
After leaving the Royal Marines, Peter Kelly realised that despite his qualifications and seemingly invaluable experience, he was still struggling to find work. With friend and fellow Royal Marine, Kieron Yeoman, they co-founded Imployable to help get veterans into meaningful employment. They have since moved on from the two of them around a kitchen table to employing a full team including former Marine and Invictus Games gold medalist , Paul Vice and PGA golfer, James Pickard.
Whilst imployable began with a focus on veterans (who are still a primary focus) we want everyone to find meaningful employment and we have designed an app with everyone in mind. The aim is that users can make educated choices on their career. No matter whether this is a post military, or they have yet to choose their GCSE’s.
Upon registering you create a digital CV that is used to apply for all jobs on the app. The app uses this CV to tell you exactly how qualified and experienced you are in comparison to any job post you are viewing. By showing the missing skills for any given job users can then use this information to search for work experience or training courses, all within the app. We are making it easier than ever to truly understand your own skills and develop these skills to land that dream job.
Alongside the job search tool, training courses and work experience there is also help and support with links to charities that cover everything from support for veterans, mental health and addiction to bullying in school. There is a vast number of job profiles to browse for a better understanding of certain industries with the intention of helping people at all stages of life to see where they fit in.
Coming soon is the i3 feature. This will be in app personality profiling (for your eyes only) which will be able to help people to see how their personalities are suited to any career.
We hope that imployable will guide people from school age, helping to make informed decisions about education, work experience and self development. We will be the UK’s most trusted job site for everyone. The app is designed to support people through every stage of their career, focusing on a rounded approach to work.
