“A phenomenal experience” (Finance Director)

As you prepare for your transition from military service to civilian life, there’s one skill that can significantly elevate your career prospects in the business world – coaching.

In today’s corporate environment, companies are increasingly adopting a coaching culture that emphasises continuous improvement, leadership development, and employee engagement. Coaching helps people to develop the skills, mindset, and strategies needed to perform to their highest potential.

Leverage your unique skills and experience
If you’re looking to transition into the corporate world, becoming an executive coach provides a unique opportunity to leverage your existing leadership and problem-solving skills.

Whether your future role will involve empowering others, or you want to trade as an independent coach, this ELCAS and CTP approved training course provides the tools, techniques, and confidence needed to enhance the performance of others in any context.

Upon completion, you will earn a Certificate in Executive Coaching, accredited by EMCC Global, the leading professional body for coaching and mentoring. This accredited status will not only boost your credibility but also increase your future employability.

“I would not only recommend the course to those who are looking to become professional coaches, but also to individuals who want to embed coaching into their day-to-day professional and personal life.” Susanna

What the course offers
The course requires 120 hours of qualification time and is primarily delivered through a distance learning, online and asynchronous process. There is contact with faculty at the start and finish through individual tutorials; during the programme there is ongoing supervision, feedback via interactive reflective journals and individualised feedback on recordings. The taught input is delivered via a series of short, instructional videos, allowing you to complete the course flexibly and accommodate your busy schedule.  Additionally, you will gain hands-on experience through 30 hours of practical coaching practice.

Throughout the course, you will learn how to:

  • Understand the difference between coaching, mentoring, and other intervention styles.
  • Apply EMCC Practitioner-level coaching competencies effectively.
  • Master advanced listening and questioning techniques.
  • Recognise the importance and use of contracting in coaching relationships.
  • Structure coaching conversations for positive outcomes.
  • Integrate psychological theory to support a coaching mindset.
  • Appreciate the value of supervision, Continuous Professional Development (CPD), and reflective practice.

“I now feel equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to practice professionally as a coach.” Caroline
