Back in March 2016, the OU signed The Corporate Covenant; underlining our commitment to the Armed Forces and pledging to continue supporting servicemen and women with access to flexible higher education. You’ll find that the flexible distance learning and practical support we offer make our service ideal for you as a member of the Forces, or as a Service-leaver. You can choose from over 400 OU modules across a wide range of subjects and levels, so whatever career you have in mind, or however you want to challenge yourself, there’s sure to be a choice to help you.

Of course, you won’t always know where or when you can do your learning, which is where our practical approach comes in. The Disabled Veterans’ Scholarships Fund

The Open University wants you to come and study with us, on a scholarship that makes education free and gives you specialist support.

The fund is the first of its kind in the UK and seeks to provide 105 full fee waiver scholarships (or equivalent), and a wraparound disability and careers support service, to enable disabled veterans, injured in or due to military service, access to free Open University (OU) education and specialist support, ensuring that students are able to take full advantage of educational opportunities. Study may take the form of an introductory access module, a first Level 1 module, or an entire undergraduate or postgraduate qualification; dependent on the needs and objectives of the applicant.
