Shooting Assistant/Coach

Part time – Term Time Only + 3 weeks

Epsom College, a premier shooting school in the UK, situated on the edge of Epsom Downs, is seeking to recruit a Shooting Assistant/Coach to assist in the running of shooting at the College.

With a keen interest in and appreciation of the technical aspects of shooting, the Shooting Assistant will help with coaching, act as range conducting officer on ranges, attend all training sessions and matches, assist with certain administrative duties, and in conjunction with the SSI, conduct and/or arrange basic maintenance on the College rifles and manage the upkeep of the indoor range.

Reporting to the Head of Shooting, the successful applicant will have thorough knowledge of range safety regulations and the safe handling of firearms as well as holding a Civilian, National Rifle Association (small-bore and full-bore), and military (short range and long range), Range Conducting Officer’s qualifications, or a willingness to complete these qualifications. In addition, you will have a full UK driving licence.

You will offer coaching skills and be able to motivate and inspire young people.  The successful applicant will possess excellent organisational and administration skills along with a thorough knowledge of IT.
