Gosport High Street’s veterans’ café was a swirl of skirts and Victory rolled hair earlier this month in a vintage themed commemoration of a successful first year. Guests enjoyed a birthday afternoon of live music and delicious homemade fare while raising money for veterans.
Scottish Veterans Residences (SVR) is a Registered Scottish Charity established in 1910 in reaction to the sight of veterans sleeping rough on the streets of Edinburgh. SVR’s operational arm is Scottish Veterans Housing Association (SVHA) which provides high quality, supported accommodation for veterans who are homeless or in need.
A group of injured veterans – including some severely disabled – took to the skies this week as they learned to fly for the first time. On Wednesday 18th April, injured ex-service personnel from military charity Blesma, The Limbless Veterans got the opportunity to learn to fly their own light aircraft, which has been made accessible to people of all disabilities.

RNBT provides financial assistance and support to Royal Navy and Royal Marines personnel and their families in times of need.
