The following listings provide a snapshot of what’s coming up over the next few weeks for Service-leaders who prefer direct contact with potential employers or training providers.
Barclays - Working in the financial sector Live chat
Drop in and chat to Barclays staff about working in the Financial Sector. No booking is required; on the day simply go to the Barclays Page and click on the Live Chat button.
Barclays is a major global financial services provider, with an excellent record in successfully recruiting Service leavers.
The Barclays Live Chat is designed to provide Service leavers and Veterans with the opportunity to ask questions about the Financial Services and how their military skill set transfers to the sector. Service leavers will have the opportunity to ask about the Military Talent Programme. During the chat Service leavers & veterans will be about to chat with Veterans who have successfully made the transition into FS.
How does a live chat work?
There is no need to pre-register. On the day, you simply go to the CTP website and find the Barclays pages.
A chat box will be displayed in the top right-hand corner of the Barclays page - click on it and your chat will start.
There is no set time for you to log on - the chat room is open between 12:00 - 14:00. The chat is not public, so other people will not be able to read the conversation you are having.
What can I talk to them about?
This is about you and your career journey, so you can ask anything which might help you determine whether Barclays could be a future employer. Such as:
- Learn about current and future job vacancies
- Discuss any training requirements
- Find out where your skills and experience could fit in
Please note: the panel of hosts are not able to provide feedback on specific job applications or conduct any job interviews.
