First female bandmaster for Household Cavalry

Secretary of State for Defence Dr Liam Fox welcomed the Canadian Defence Minister, the Honourable Peter MacKay, to London yesterday with a ceremonial guard formed by members of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment.
On Saturday 11 June 2011 soldiers of the Household Division had the honour of performing the famous Trooping the Colour ceremony to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s official birthday, while 25 RAF aircraft performed a flypast over Buckingham Palace.
Two members of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, each with his part to play in the ceremonial events planned for London this Friday, talk to Lorraine McBride about their preparations and hopes for the big day.
