Our client requires security guards for a secure storage site in Suffolk. Previous experience is not necessary as the training is exceptional. You’ll learn conflict management skills, first aid, customer care and fire safety, and on-the-job coaching will familiarise you with our systems and procedures. Full support will be given to enable you to gain City & Guilds accredited qualifications within the first year of employment, leading to a great future in the security industry.

You’ll carry out a range of duties including maintaining the security of the property by monitoring security systems, responding to alarms and incidents as they arise, and dealing with emergencies, acting as incident control officer until relieved. You’ll be a reassuring presence, controlling and monitoring staff, visitor, contractor and vehicle access to the premises and conducting searches where necessary. You’ll contribute to health and safety in the workplace and deliver first aid if required.

You’ll need sound judgment, a reasonable level of fitness, excellent people skills and the ability to communicate with others clearly, concisely and assertively. You’ll stay calm under pressure and you’ll have IT, time management and organisational skills as well as an eye for detail. The culture is built around teamwork and support so we’re looking for people with a strong team ethic and an enthusiasm for self-development as you’ll be continually learning from and sharing your experience with others.
