Reserves Day 2018

Reserves Day is taking place today as part of the Armed Forces Week celebrations in the run-up to Armed Forces Day on 30 June. Each year Reserves Day offers the opportunity for employers to publicly recognise and celebrate the contribution that reservists make to the NHS and our country.

This year the NHS have updated their model policy example and shared example policies from across the NHS, released an article about the recent employer’s visit to the Army’s Sabre Strike exercise and are sharing biographies of reservists from the NHS that took part in the exercise on social media.

Get involved

There are many ways that employers can show their support for reservists in the workforce. Find out about what else is going on to support Reserves Day and how you can get involved on their dedicated web page.

You can also download the Ministry of Defence’s employer toolkit to help promote the campaign and your organisations support, which includes posters, email and events banners and images for Twitter and Facebook.
