Scottish Veterans Residences provide high quality, supported accommodation for veterans who are homeless or in need

Scottish Veterans Residences (SVR) is a Registered Scottish Charity established in 1910 in reaction to the sight of veterans sleeping rough on the streets of Edinburgh. SVR’s operational arm is Scottish Veterans Housing Association (SVHA) which provides high quality, supported accommodation for veterans who are homeless or in need.

They house ex-service men and women of all ages in residences in Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow.

As well as accommodation they provide a housing support service and at in Glasgow a transitional support programme.

Their housing support services are provided at two houses in multiple occupancy. Whitefoord House is located on Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile and Rosendael situated in Broughty Ferry, Dundee. The third service is the new Bellrock Close transitional support service in Glasgow.

Whitefoord House

Whitefoord House has 82 fully furnished, en-suite single rooms. There are extensive facilities including bowling green, a gym, IT suite, snooker room, gardens and residents lounge.

Rosendael

Rosendael has 44 fully furnished, en-suite rooms. The lovely public rooms include including a conservatory, snooker room and residents lounges.

Bellrock Close

Bellrock Close opened in October 2014. It has 30 fully furnished one bedroom flats, social areas, gym, gardens and a support facility where the transitional support service is delivered.
