“When I was at school, the teachers told me I would never make anything of myself. It was only when I discovered Hillcroft College that things changed. The curriculum also includes courses to improve employment prospects and weekend programs offering business skills alongside a plethora of courses for those women who missed out on education the first time round such as entry level to GCSE maths and English. There is free childcare and plenty of outdoor space making Hillcroft College an ideal place for women to safely put aside their personal circumstances and focus on becoming the people they would like to be.

Courses are free for those on means tested benefits including accommodation and childcare, and there are also several affordable options for those who do not meet the eligibility requirements. With a mission to “empower women through education,” Hillcroft offers support for all types of learners, and provides strategies for students with dyspraxia and dyslexia.
