Tickets For Troops Celebrating 6th Anniversary

Off By Sharon Black

Tickets For Troops celebrate their 6th Anniversary today having distributed over 800,000 free tickets to members of the Armed Forces for sports, music, theatre, entertainment and cultural events across the UK.

The military charity was set up in 2009 to recognise the brave servicemen and women who spend months away from their families, need to be available to serve at short notice and put their lives on the line for our country.

Tickets For Troops have been able to provide thousands of these opportunities for troops to attend events thanks to the phenomenal generosity of their donors who continue to get behind the Armed Forces.

Each ticket offers a memorable experience, bringing families and friends together and providing opportunities for our hard-working troops to relax and enjoy magnificent events across the UK.

Tickets are offered to military personnel through the charities website www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk, which they can share with their loved ones, as a small acknowledgement of the work they do.

Veronica Bamford, Director of Operations for Tickets For Troops said:

“We are extremely proud to be celebrating such a significant milestone for the charity. The support we receive on a daily basis from our donors is outstanding and we are truly grateful to each one of them for honouring and recognising the tremendous men and women who serve our country.”

Tickets For Troops has over 150,000 registered members and has distributed over 800,000 free tickets for events ranging from the Spectre World Premiere, The Rugby World Cup, The Olympics in 2012, The Invictus Games, The Isle of Wight Festival, the British F1 Grand Prix, The BRIT Awards, England football, the rugby Premiership, top class cricket, darts, horse racing and snooker as well as major theatre performances including Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera as well as music events across the UK.
