CTP is delighted to continue delivering the resettlement provision to support Service leavers

After ten years of supporting Service leavers throughout their transition into civilian life via the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), we are pleased to announce that Right Management will continue to deliver the resettlement service under a new Ministry of Defence contract.

Resettlement support for all personnel
From 1st October 2015, as part of the new integrated resettlement provision, all members of the Armed Forces will benefit from CTP support when leaving Service, regardless of time served or reason for discharge. This includes Early Service Leavers and Wounded, Injured and Sick personnel, and also encompasses two trial programmes which will support eligible Reservists and Service Partners.

Mark Lancaster, Minister for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans, said:“A career in the Armed Forces provides a wealth of benefits and transferable skills. Awarding this contract will allow our Service leavers to continue to access outstanding support, enabling them to transition successfully into civilian life and apply their skills and attributes in a new environment.

“The provisions under the Career Transition Partnership are another example of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, ensuring Service personnel and their families should not face disadvantage because of their duty.”

David Duffy of Right Management, and is the Contract Director for the Career Transition Partnership, said:“I am delighted that Right Management will continue to deliver a world-class resettlement provision on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, helping to bridge the gap between military and civilian careers and connecting Armed Forces personnel to jobs.

“The renewed contract will build on our existing military success and capitalise on our 35 years of expertise to provide a more integrated service with a wider range of support, and an innovative and highly personalised provision to Service leavers as well as quality workforce solutions to employers.”

Building upon existing military experience

The CTP delivers resettlement support to thousands of Armed Forces leavers each year, via regional centres across the UK and in Germany, and has a dedicated team of staff bringing years of experience working with Service leavers.

We provide flexible support from two years before discharge, through to two years after, giving Service leavers the tools needed to approach the civilian job market with confidence and to get the most out of life outside the forces.

Through the CTP, Right Management and delivery partners RFEA – The Forces Employment Charity and Officers’ Association, have delivered resettlement services to members of the Armed Forces since 1998. The CTP has assisted over 200,000 Service leavers with their transition to civilian life and in addition, has supported thousands of organisations looking to employ ex-Forces personnel.
